Always blot any urine or liquid with a dry rag immediately. Then add a cup of cold water over the area and re-blot with dry rags, absorbing as much wetness as possible. Only use store products specifically identified for pet stain removal — not general carpet shampoos, and never bleach or ammonia-based cleaners, which will set the stain or damage the dye. The faster you can blot the area dry and rinse with cold water, the better chance we’ll have of fully removing the stain on our visit.
